PAB Board Member

Stacey Moorehead is a seasoned leader serving as a Director at Watershed Advisors, where she leverages her experience to enhance the quality of support and services offered to school systems to improve student experiences.

Before this role, Stacey was the Managing Director of Strategy and Initiatives at SPED Strategies. There, she spearheaded initiatives to innovate and support educational systems at both local and state levels to ensure all students received comprehensive access to educational and community resources. Earlier in her career, Stacey contributed her expertise at Great Minds as a Product Manager and at the Louisiana Department of Education as the Director of Intervention Strategy. In these positions, she led developing and disseminating high-quality, standards-aligned materials. She established a reliable vendor marketplace aimed at enhancing grade-level learning opportunities for students with unique educational needs.

 

Stacey’s educational journey began as a teacher in the charter schools of post-Katrina New Orleans, providing her with firsthand insights into the challenges and opportunities within educational systems. She studied Middle School Math and Science Education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Mathematics Educational Leadership at Bank Street Graduate School of Education. Beyond her professional pursuits, Stacey is deeply rooted in the New Orleans community, where she enjoys its vibrant culture, volunteers at her children’s charter school, and engages in home improvement projects with her husband.
