As Director of Organizational Health at NCLD, Maura aligns operations and resources with the organization’s mission. Her role encompasses three main areas: overseeing people management across multiple states, supporting administrative and financial operations, and advancing organizational health initiatives. She manages external vendors for various administrative functions and internal culture, focusing on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) efforts to create an inclusive remote workplace.
Beginning her career in non-profit administration, Maura led an arts program and facilitated social justice education programs. She later earned a Master of Research in Critical Whiteness Studies and a PhD focusing on race-, gender-, and sexuality-based microaggressions. Her dissertation involved community-led action research addressing microaggressions among young adults. Maura has applied her expertise through teaching, facilitating DEIB workshops, and operational leadership. As Chief Administrative Officer at MoMath, she optimized operations across departments, enhancing team productivity and customer experience. At Guild, she obtained agile certifications and implemented agile practices to improve operational efficiency.
Maura looks forward to leveraging her background in non-profit
administration, DEIB, and agile methodologies to support NCLD’s mission.
