Kristy Baxter, M.A., is a member of NCLD’s Young Adult and Innovation Committees and also serves on the Executive Committee.

She began her career in 1973, teaching at the Churchill School and Center, an independent school in New York City for children with learning disabilities. She went on to serve as Churchill’s Head of School and Center from 1988–2008. During these years, she co-founded the Introduction to Independence program in New York.
