Alicia has over seven years experience working in the non-profit and education sector. Alicia joins NCLD from Project Scientist where she served as the Development Manager. Prior to her role at Project Scientist, Alicia served in the same role at The Sycamore School where she was also served as a secondary school teacher. There she taught an interdisciplinary course to neurodivergent students that aimed to bridge the gap between humanities and STEM subjects. Prior to teaching, Alicia worked in development at several different non-profits in Atlanta, Georgia including The Carter Center and CARE USA. She is excited to use both her knowledge from working with students with learning disabilities as well as her experience in non-profit development to help NCLD reach their goals. Alicia holds a Bachelors in International Relations and Modern Languages as well as a Masters in International Relations and Global Development from The Georgia Institute of Technology.
