Launching knowLD for Learning Disabilities Awareness Month

For Immediate Release

NCLD Launches Digital Awareness Campaign “knowLD” for Learning Disabilities Awareness Month

Washington, D.C. – October 1, 2025 – The National Center for Learning Disabilities today announced the launch of knowLD, a month-long digital awareness campaign designed to increase awareness about learning disabilities (LD). Running throughout October, which is recognized as Learning Disabilities Awareness Month, knowLD will share powerful storytelling and engaging content that highlight both the challenges and strengths of the LD community.

Through this campaign, NCLD aims to promote a deeper understanding and increased visibility of learning disabilities, while shifting perceptions, fostering empathy, and inspiring action.

“Learning disabilities are too often misunderstood, overlooked, or stigmatized,” said Dr. Jacqueline Rodriguez, CEO of NCLD. “With knowLD, we are amplifying the voices of individuals with LD and showcasing their strengths, talents, and contributions. Awareness is the first step toward building a more equitable and inclusive society, and we want everyone to join us in this effort.”
