Family Leadership Council

The National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) recognizes the invaluable role that parents and caregivers play in advocating for students with learning disabilities. The Family Leadership Council brings together a diverse group of parents and caregivers to share insights on school and community support systems, ensuring that families remain at the center of conversations about education, policy, and advocacy.

In collaboration with NCLD’s Young Adult Leadership Council and Professional Advisory Board, the Family Leadership Council helps shape the organization’s work at both the federal and local levels. By sharing their lived experiences, members contribute to initiatives that advance inclusive education, strengthen policies, and create meaningful change for individuals with learning disabilities.

Through this council, NCLD continues its longstanding commitment to empowering families, equipping them with the resources and platform to influence systems that impact the lives of students nationwide.
