National Center for Learning Disabilities Announces Staff Promotions
Washington, D.C., – Wednesday, September 10, 2025 – The National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) is pleased to announce the promotions of three staff members whose leadership and expertise continue to strengthen the organization’s impact on policy, research, and programs that serve individuals with learning disabilities.
- Kate Bartlien has been promoted to Associate Director of Programs from her previous role as Senior Programs Manager. In this role, Kate will continue to oversee and expand NCLD’s programmatic initiatives, building meaningful partnerships with young adults and families while ensuring programs drive measurable outcomes for the learning disabilities community.
- Saashya Rodrigo has been promoted to Principal Researcher and Associate Director of Research, elevated from her role as Principal Researcher. Saashya will further NCLD’s research portfolio, providing strategic leadership to ensure that the organization’s work is grounded in evidence and reflects the lived experiences of individuals with learning and attention issues.
- Nicole Fuller has been promoted to Associate Director of Policy & Advocacy from her prior position as Senior Manager of Policy. Nicole will continue to shape and advance NCLD’s policy agenda, ensuring that the needs of individuals with learning disabilities are prioritized in federal and state policymaking.

Over the past two years, NCLD has expanded its impact through new research, including the State of Learning Disabilities: Navigating the Transition to Adulthood report, and by convening national leaders and advocates for its inaugural LD Summit. The organization continues to strengthen partnerships with policymakers, educators, and researchers to ensure that individuals with learning disabilities are supported with equitable policies, inclusive practices, and evidence-based solutions.
