Cassia Schifter is a member of NCLD’s Development and Young Adult Committees.  

She is the Director of Restaurant Awards and an Associate Tasting Coordinator at Wine Spectator. Previously, she was the national head of sales and marketing for Loca Linda Wines.  Cassia spent a year and a half working for Murray’s Cheese, both in the company’s caves and at their Grand Central Terminal location. Prior to entering the food and wine industry, Cassia worked in fashion as an assistant stylist and Men’s Stills coordinator for J. Crew.

Cassia is a graduate of Amherst College. She has also earned a Master Cheese Certification. Cassia graduated second in her class at The International Culinary Center’s Intensive Sommelier Program and qualified as a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers.
