Brittany Hott, Ph.D., BCBA-D is an associate director of the Institute for Community and Society Transformation (ICAST), director of the Rural Innovation and Special Education (RISE) Research Group, and professor of special education in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Hott’s interests include school-based interventions and the effective translation of special education research to rural policy and practice. Her publication record includes 50 peer reviewed articles, 4 books, and 20 program evaluations. She is the principal investigator or co-principal investigator on US Department of Education and National Science Foundation grants focused on development of a rural coaching model to support social emotional learning implementation and research translation. Dr. Hott is past president of the Council for Learning Disabilities and chair of the American Council for Rural Special Education Research Committee chair.
