Autumn has arrived, and as we move into 
the final weeks of the election season, NCLD is committed to keeping the rights of children with learning disabilities in the interests of policy-makers and the voting public alike.

 

In this month's edition of LD News, you'll find out where the presidential candidates stand on important educational issues in our new side-by-side comparison, learn how to set a schedule (and stick to it!) as you start the search for financial aid in college, as well as read up on universal design for learning, a new approach to teaching and learning that can reduce learning challenges for all
students, including those with LD.

NCLD's Director of Professional Services, Dr. Sheldon H. Horowitz, shares his newly expanded "must read" list of books on learning disabilities and other related topics such as effective instruction and family issues.
