Lindy Crawford, Ph.D., is an associate professor of Special Education and Associate Dean of the College of Education at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Dr. Crawford engages in research on the use of curriculum-based measures, the validity of large-scale assessments of students with and without disabilities, and effective instructional practices for English language learners.
She currently is conducting a multi-state research study on the effectiveness of an online mathematics program for middle school English language learners and analyzing the use of test accommodations on large-scale assessments. Dr. Crawford has received funding through the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs and its Office of Innovation and Improvement as well as funding from the National Academy of Education and the Colorado Department of Education. Some of her publications appear in The Journal of Special Education, Exceptional Children, Remedial and Special Education, and the Journal of Learning Disabilities.
